I use this data for the administration of Making Bread & Honey. Account data may be processed to operate the website and to provide any related services, such as email communication.

I may process publication data.  This is information that you have posted on the website or via any related services. I use this data for website administration.

I may process enquiry data, data contained in any enquiry you submit to me regarding goods and/or services.  Enquiry data may be processed for marketing and used for selling any relevant goods and/or services.  It allows me to properly administer Making Bread & Honey.

I may process transaction data.  This includes data regarding the purchase of any goods and/or services that you enter into with me and/or through the Making Bread & Honey website.  This type of data may include contact details, card details and transaction details. The source of transaction data is you and the payment services provider.

I may process notification data.  Notification data is provided by you. It allows you to subscribe to my email notifications and/or newsletters and/or email courses.  The data allows me to send you the relevant emails and to communicate with you, my customers and other website visitors.

I may process personal data to protect and assert any legal rights. These rights could be mine, yours or those of others. These could be court proceedings, administrative or out-of-court procedures. This data may also be used for obtaining insurance coverage, for risk management or for other professional advice.  This enables me to adequately protect Making Bread & Honey against risk.

Making Bread & Honey does not knowingly collect any data that may identify children under 16 years old.  Please contact me immediately at if you are a parent/guardian who believes that the website has collected this data.  I will attempt to remove it pronto.

I will never sell, distribute or reveal your personal data to anyone, except under law or upon request from insurers and/or other professional advisers. The request must be reasonable with respect to the exercise or defence of legal claims, insurance coverage, risk management or relevant professional advice.

International Transfers of Your Personal Data

Occasionally, countries outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) may receive personal data. The hosting facility for Making Bread & Honey – SiteGround – is located in the United States of America (USA).

The US-EU Privacy Shield Framework covers personal data transfers to Bluehost Inc.  The European Commission (EC) made a ‘partial adequacy’ decision with respect to the data protection laws of the USA, restricted to personal data transfers.  This means that only certain companies that abide by the Privacy Shield principles may benefit from free data transfers. Bluehost is one of these companies.    

Appropriate safeguards may protect any other transfers to the USA.  In other words, under EC approved or adopted the use of standard data protection clauses. You may obtain a copy of these here:

By using Making Bread & Honey, you acknowledge that your personal data may be available, via the internet, around the world.   I am unable to prevent the (mis)use of this personal data by other people.

Data Retention Policies

Processing of personal data for a specific purpose (see ‘Use of Personal Data’) will only be kept long enough for that purpose.

Personal data may be retained for reasons of business, law or tax and will only be kept long enough for those purposes. Your data may be stored in electronic and/or ‘hard’ (paper) form.  Once data is no longer required, it will be destroyed, erased or deleted.

Data may be retained if it is necessary for legal compliance or to protect the vital interests of yourself or others.

You may ask for copies of your personal data and to ask me to rectify any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

You may ask me to erase any personal data and to restrict, or object to, its processing.

You can also email me at  I must be sure I am sending the information to the right person. Therefore, your email requesting a copy of your data must come from the email address you used to provide the data.  If you no longer have the email account, you can email me from a different account but you will need to confirm the relevant email address. I will also require proof of your identity, such as a passport or driving licence to confirm your full name with the associated email account.  I regret that if the data requested does not contain your full name, I cannot release it to you.


There are two main types of cookies, persistent and session cookies.  Persistent cookies have expiry dates. Web browsers store persistent cookies until expiry unless they are first deleted. A session cookie expires when the browser is closed.
